  • Experienced lecturer to both veterinary professionals (veterinarians, veterinary students and technical staff) and pet parents on a wide range of topics related to veterinary nutrition and the pet food industry

Beth Hamper

DVM, PhD, DACVN
  • Board-certified Veterinary Nutritionist; PhD in Nutrition
  • Previous research focused on biochemical and digestibility differences of feeding raw vs. processed foods
  • Future research interests include the effects of food processing on various health parameters in dogs and cats, feline nutrition, and immunonutrition
  • Written several feline nutrition chapters for veterinary textbooks and articles in peer-reviewed journals and is an experienced lecturer to both veterinary students and veterinarians

Kelly Swanson

  • PhD in Nutrition; Professor of Animal and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana
  • Previous and current areas of research include Animal Nutrition, Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition, Dietary Bioactive Components, and Comparative Nutrition (rodent, cat/dog, and human)
  • 15 years of experience working with members of the pet food industry for both educational lectures and research needs
  • Published over 110 peer-reviewed publications, 6 book chapters, 51 conference proceedings, and 165 research abstracts and given over 80 invited presentations at scientific meetings in 10 countries around the world
