A: Many of the ingredients used at Freshpet are sourced from the US with a minority sourced from Europe and Canada. Our delicious and nutritious cat and dog foods are manufactured in our Kitchens in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Q: How do you monitor incoming ingredients for potential contaminants?
A: Freshpet adheres closely to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) by performing risk assessments and establishing supplier preventive controls to ensure that the ingredients received do not pose a food safety risk. All ingredients and packaging materials undergo thorough inspections, testing, and release criteria prior to use.
